Paving for a road / highway in Providence, Virginia. Design plans call for paving for a road / highway.

Construction of 1,760 feet long, 5-foot-wide, concrete sidewalk along the south side of Chain Bridge Road from Courthouse Road to Sutton Road Intersection. The project also includes upgrades providing: 193 square yards of curb ramps (7 curb ramps), 2 Bus pads, Driveway/Entrance updates, Crosswalks (Updates & Additions), Pedestrian signal heads & signs. As of May 12, 2023, a design team has been selected. Design finalized and approved by VDOT on 12/28/22. Notice to proceed with land acquisition issued on 3/13/23. Land acquisition completion expected on 11/30/23. Construction expected to begin on 5/30/24. Construction expected to end on 1/30/25.
