Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Carlisle, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,210-square-foot fire / police facility; for the renovation of a 7,000-square-foot fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor and support needed to construct the Design Solution, per Drawings and Specifications for the renovation project listed above. Project items include but are not limited to: Site utilities and paving, site fencing, pedestrian and vehicular gates, demolition, masonry and cast stone, cast in place concrete, structural steel, concrete flatwork (topping slab), mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, new lighting and electrical, access controls and technology, aluminum storefront, ballistic and attack rated glazing, bullet resistant wood doors, bullet resistant panels, commercial floor coverings, paint, wall protection, commercial millwork, acoustic tile ceilings, membrane and shingle roofing, aluminum composite panels, and signage. The total area proposed to be renovated is approximately 7,000 SF and the addition is approximately 1,210 SF. The addition includes a mezzanine level. The Scope of Work for this project shall be as set forth in the Drawings and Specifications. The project will be divided into a Base Bid #1 (generator subpackage), a Base Bid #2 (remainder of base bid work) and Add Alternates #1 (North Bullet Resistant Panels and Bullet Resistant Wood Doors), #2 (South Bullet Resistant Panels and Bullet Resistant Wood Doors), #3 (Metal Shield Art), and #4 (Site Landscaping) as designated in the drawings and specifications. Work on the improvements shall be commenced by the start date of June 1, 2021 with Substantial Completion not later than February 1, 2021. The building will NOT be occupied during construction. Facility Inspections WILL NOT be given individually to contractors that do not attend the Pre-Bid Meeting during the time slot Questions need to be submitted electronically by the end of the day on January 20th .
