Project: City of West University Place Wakeforest Elevated Storage Tank Riser Pipe Replacement Bid PW 21-01 West University is soliciting written proposals from qualified organizations ('Vendors') for the Wakeforest Elevated Storage Tank Riser Pipe Replacement Project. The City wishes to replace approximately 100'of 12" flange to flange, concrete lined ductile iron riser pipe with bolts, gaskets and all hardware components. Furnish, remove and replace two (2) existing 12" valves. All materials, labor and installation costs to be included. The selected vendor will coordinate all work directly with City Public Works staff. The Wakeforest Elevated Storage Tank is located at 4854 Wakeforest, Houston TX 77005. The selected Vendor will be expected to complete all work within 30 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. The City will negotiate final contract terms and scope of service with the selected Vendor. Major components of this riser pipe replacement include but are not limited to: Furnish approximately 100'of 12" flange to flange, concrete lined ductile iron pipe with bolts and gaskets. Furnish new expansion joint with bolts and gaskets. Furnish new galvanized support U Bolts. Furnish new angle support brackets. Replace schedule 80 steel stub that penetrates the bowl. Demolish and dispose of the old pipe and components. Installation of new pipe and components. Furnish and install new saddle connection with 1" port, complete with brass fitting with a sample port, gauge and a place for the existing transducer. Install pipe in zinc or epoxy prime coat and coat burns and hardware after completion. Perform disinfection and hydrostatic test and return the tank leak free. Owner will perform the Bac-T sampling. Remove two (2) 12" valves. Furnish and install two new (2) 12" valves. Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) are encouraged to submit a proposal. The City shall not be responsible for any verbal communication between any employee of the City and any potential firm. Only written requirements and qualifications will be considered. The City of West University Place reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive irregularities, and to accept the proposal deemed the most advantageous to the City.
