The minimum $5,000,000.00 coverage for the required asbestos abatement insurance is a standard/minimum required amount for school work. This coverage amount will not be lowered. 1/25/2021 9:36 AM A 10% Bid Bond and 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond, equal to the Contract price, will be required. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, during which the bids will remain firm. The Owner reserved the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any or all informalities in the bidding. Work shall begin the week of May 24, 2021 and shall achieve Substantial Completion by August 16, 2021. Final Completion shall be achieved no later than August 30, 2021. It is the intent of the school district that all re-roofing areas be completed in the summer of 2021. Contractor(s) shall man the project accordingly, including number of staging locations, dumpsters, etc. to ensure the entire project is completed by the dates noted above. Prospective bidders are advised that this project is one that will be subject to and governed by the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, including amendments and supplements thereto. Bidders shall prepare their proposals/ bids after giving consideration to the applicability of said Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act to the work involved.
