Renovation of a water / sewer project in Dearborn, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
**As of November 9 ,2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. We anticipate that this project will be awarded by first week in December** As of March 2022, bids from August 27, 2021 have been cancelled and the project will rebid at a later date that is to be determined. The Work is defined in the Contract Documents and generally consists of replacement of the existing 4800V medium voltage electrical (MV) distribution system on the secondary side of existing primary transformers owned by GLWA. The new MV system will be comprised of a three (3) bus arrangement, integrating an existing emergency generator system with new switchgears and MV MCCs providing distributed power to 24 existing pumping units with synchronous motors, two (2) existing 4800V-480V unit-substations, and two (2) existing 480V house transformers. Included in this Work is coordination with GLWA Operations to maintain system demands throughout construction, documentation of existing conditions, replacement of existing MV feeders to the existing pumping unit motors, coordination with the power supply utility (DTE), construction of a utility bridge approximately 300 feet in length, and various associated civil site, architectural, structural, building mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control system improvements in support of the MV replacement.
