Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Concord, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a development; for site work for a development; for paving for a development; swimming pool; for the construction of a swimming pool; and development.

This project consists of construction of a new bathhouse at the Main Beach of Walden Pond State Reservation. As part of the project, the existing bathhouse will be demolished, and new site utilities installed. The building site is approximately 105,700 sf within the Limit of Work line and consist of site work The estimated project Base Bid cost is: $ 6,000,000.00 The work is to be accomplished within 300 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit, payable to the Department of Conservation and Recreation in the amount of 5% of the bid Any questions by prospective Bidders concerning interpretation of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing to the Awarding Authority and should be in its possession at least Ten working days before the date set for the receipt of general Bids, or, if a question pertains to Item 2 filed sub-Bid work, at least five working days before the date set for the receipt of filed sub-Bids. Without limiting the foregoing, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject unit prices which it deems unduly high or unduly low as unbalanced
