Per the owner, "this project is not an active soliciation and will not be up for bid." Question Deadline: 1/15/2021 05:00 PM (ET) The planning level estimated construction cost for this project is in the range of $90 million. The Project consists of converting a retired Luck Stone rock mining quarry - which sits on a 20-acre site north of the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) trail and east of the Goose Creek near Leesburg, VA - into a 1.25 BG capacity raw water storage reservoir and constructing a new pumping station that can supply up to 40 MGD of raw water to Loudoun Water's Trap Rock Water Treatment Facility. The quarry will be filled with raw water from the Potomac River and used either when raw water cannot be withdrawn from the Potomac River or as a flow through reservoir during normal operating conditions.
