Estimated Cost ; $135,000 - $160,000 In general, the work shall consist of furnishing all required bonds and insurances, general superintendence, labor, materials, equipment, appurtenances, mobilization, and incidentals required for fire damage repairs including but not limited to: drywall replacement; insulation replacement; carpet replacement; seal, prep, prime and paint interior and exterior surfaces; theater seat cleaning; trim board replacement; wood siding replacement; roof replacement; replacement of electric and lighting appurtenances and fixtures; door replacement; window replacement; concrete repairs, interior and exterior surface cleaning as required. All work must be satisfactorily completed as soon as possible prior to April 2, 2021 unless otherwise extended and approved by the Borough of Ephrata. Prevailing minimum wages must be paid and enforced during the contract period. Applicable wage rates will be included in the bid documents. Bid award is scheduled for February 8, 2021. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond (see attached form within bid documents) or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Ephrata. The bid security shall be provided in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid price. An electronic copy of fully executed bid bond and surety shall be uploaded with online sealed bid. Upon request, following online bid opening, bidders should provide original copy of bid security. The successful bidder, when awarded the contract, shall furnish a Performance Bond, with sufficient surety(ies), in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. The contractor shall also furnish a separate Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. A Corporate Surety, legally authorized to transact business in Pennsylvania, currently listed in the United States Department of the Treasury Circular 570 and satisfactory to the Borough, must execute both bonds. Any questions, exceptions to any of the minimum specifications and/or requests for information regarding these specifications shall be in accordance with and submitted electronically. The Ephrata Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding process, including the right to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive or conditional Bids.
