By Order of the Board of School Directors Allentown School District Harry Aristakesian, Business Manager The work to be performed under this contract consists of temporary shoring; concrete wall, column & pedestal spall & crack repairs; corrosion inhibitor application; concrete slab repairs; structural steel channels & wall coatings, and all associated cutting, patching and work shown or otherwise reasonably implied The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Temporary shoring. 2. Concrete wall, column & pedestal spall & crack repairs. 3. Corrosion inhibitor application. 4. Concrete slab repairs. 5. Structural steel channels & wall coatings 6. All other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. B. Removal and replacement requirements 1. General a. Photograph existing conditions at each repair location to document the location and visually observed condition of existing finishes and equipment and submit indexed or keynoted photographs in electronic form to Owner. b. Remove and reinstall systems, materials, devices, and supporting accessories as required to install indicated repairs. 1) Carefully remove components. 2) Secure removed components during repair installation. c. Reinstall removed components to match preconstruction function, performance, and appearance. d. Replace in kind any components damaged during removal, storage, or reinstallation. a) Match the type, size, quantity, quality, durability, and aesthetic appearance of original components to the satisfaction of Owner and Engineer. b) Provide submittals for replacement components for Engineer approval in advance of ordering, delivery, and installation. c) Where reviewed replacement components are not available for Substantial Completion, furnish and install temporary components meeting the function and performance of the original components. Remove temporary components and install permanent replacement components when available in coordination with Owner.
