A bond secured by cash, certified check, irrevocable letter of credit or other cash equivalent in the sum of ten (10) percent of the total amount of the bid, guaranteeing that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into by the contractor. If the bidder uses this form of bond, the bidder will be required, as a condition of the contract, to submit a Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract secured by corporate surety acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners.
