Prequalification submissions are requested from General Contractors indicating their interest in bidding and qualifications for construction of a two-storey, 20-unit apartment building, located in Exeter, ON. Construction of a two-storey, 20-unit, wood-framed apartment building, located on the site with an existing,32-unit building. Site work will include provision of new building services from the street, through an active asphalt parking area, construction of new parking, emergency generator, fencing and landscaping. Poured concrete foundation and slab-on-grade ground floor. Pre-engineered wood roof trusses and conventional wood framing. Passenger elevator, common room, public washroom, laundry facilities and service spaces. Anticipated project schedule: - Bidding period: 11-May-2023 to 01-June-2023 - Award of contract: 05-July-2023 - Substantial Performance: 31-April-2024 Prequalification Submission Requirements - General Contractors: - Submit completed CCDC11 - 2019 Contractor's Qualification Statement. Provide current phone numbers and email addresses for references. CCDC11 - 2019 forms and copyright seals can be obtained from local construction associations. References must indicate that the Contractor is well established locally and include work performed (at least five separate projects) similar to this project; similar work is defined as new multi-residential construction. - Submit letter from Contractor's Bonding Company declaring the Contractor can provide a Bid Bond, and Performance and Labour and Materials Payment Bonds. - Submit letter from Contractor's Insurance Company verifying Commercial General Liability Limits of not less than $5.0M per occurrence. - Submit C.V. of the Site Supervisor to be assigned to this project. The Owner reserves the right to contact references other than those listed in the submitted CCDC11. Applications will be ranked, based on the responses from references. Only six (6) approved Contractors will be prequalified and allowed to bid the project. The Owner's decision will be final. This prequalification process does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Owner to enter into a contract with any proponents, or that the project will proceed.
