Site work for a water / sewer project in Beaumont, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This contract shall provide for the rehabilitation of one 1,000,000 gallon legged steel elevated water storage tank for the City of Beaumont, Texas. The tank is located at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and North 13th Street. This contract shall include all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, disinfection, structural steel repairs, safety measures, environmental protection, disposal of surplus items. The contractor shall coordinate with City personnel when removing a tank from service and/or restoring a tank to service. Bidders must submit Bid Bond, Cashiers Check, Certified Check or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank satisfactory to the Owner, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Beaumont in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the largest possible bid amount as a guaranty that the Bidder will enter into contract and execute bond and guaranty in the form provided within fourteen (14) calendar days after date of Notice of Award of the contract. Bids without required financial security deposit will not be considered. Prevailing Highway-Heavy, Municipal and Utilities wage rates for Jefferson County, published as part of the Contract Documents and subject to revisions, shall govern or control minimum rates for work performed during execution of the contract. Also, qualifications being equal, citizens of the City of Beaumont shall be given preference in employment for work performed under the contract. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), or Minority Business means a business in which (a) at least fifty-one percent (51%) is owned by minority members, or in the case of a corporation, at least fifty-one percent (51%) of the stock is owned by minority members; and (b) the management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more such individuals. In order to maximize the number of certified MBEs, the City will accept the State of Texas certified Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) to meet its utilization goals. The City reserves the right, after opening Bids, to reject any or all bids or to make award to accept any bid or combination of bids deemed advantageous to it. Completion- 150 working days Prepare surface and coat interior and exterior of tank, paint logos. Remove and replace access ladder from ground to balcony, access ladder from balcony to roof, sixteen (16) roof truss rods, one (1) tension rod keeper bolt, one (1) 30" diameter access hatch, and miscellaneous repairs as directed by the Engineer.
