As of May 3, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Sealed bids are invited for the Center for Visual Arts Roof Replacement project at Longwood University, Project Code: 214- B0214-003 at Farmville, Virginia. The project is generally described as the demolition and removal of the existing roof systems as required to expose the existing structural deck. The work includes providing a complete, functional and watertight new elastic membrane roofing system including all insulation (polyiso rigid and sloped insulation), membrane, flashings, metal flashings, metal flashings, gutters and downspouts, and related component parts for the EPDM rubber roof areas. Replacement will include, temporarily removing and replacing existing HVAC units, extending and replacing condensate and refrigerant lines, addition of a Lightning Protection system, removing abandoned equipment and skylights and providing appropriate roof deck infill. The goal of the Project is to provide a complete and watertight roof system over all roof areas indicated to receive the new systems. A Bid Bond is required. Bidder must use the Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond (DGS-30-090, Rev. 07/21) to submit their bid bond. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
