Effective January 1, 2014, all potential bidders must be certified by DOA prior to submitting18 bids on state construction projects over $50,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified19 will be rejected. Notice is hereby given in accordan ce with Section 16.855(10), Wisconsin Statutes, that the Division believes it is in the best interests of the State to contract the following work from only one source, without the usual statutory procedures: 08 71 00 Door Hardware - Closer 08 71 00 Door Hardware - Exit Device 08 71 00 Door Hardware - Cylinder In general the work consists of the replacement of exterior aluminum window units, aluminum doors, and window wall assemblies at the La Crosse State Office Building (LCSOB). Scope provides for the removal of 178 (sized 48 wide x 74 height) windows on the north and south wings of the building, 9 basement window wells, and a single window over the central door in the rear elevation. The project also removes the existing exterior aluminum doors, transoms and sidelights that comprise the five main entrances with double doors into the building and installs thermally broken doors with 1 insulating glass having an overall U-factor of 0.29. Project scope also includ es replacement of the four glazed aluminum-framed window walls in stairwells with new curtain wall assemblies. The glazing area will be reduced by substituting insulated metal panels for glazing in select openings. Also included in the project is the removal and replacement of sealants associated with the glazed assemblies, and landscape restoration where needed, etc. Bidder shall identify the division of work they are bidding on when requesting Bidding Documents online. Base Bid will be received for: A single lump sum bid for All Work. No deposit is required to obtain documents for bidding purposes. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
