Renovation of an educational facility in River Falls, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
In general the work consists of: Replacement of underground box conduit, high pressure steam line (2-1/2") and condensate return line (1-1/4"), with a direct-bury double-walled piping system, including site restoration as required. The piping system connects the RDI building to Campus Steam Pit 20. This piping system was installed in 1980, with the original construction of the School of Veterinary Medicine Building (currently named the Regional Development (RDI) Building). The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
