Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) plans to develop a new long-term care facility on the former 1.85-acre site of Richmond Lions Manor at 11771 Fentiman Place in Richmond. The new facility will be designed as home for 144 individuals using a social model of care and evidence-based design strategies. The project will be delivered using a Construction Management at Risk methodology and may require rezoning. The Project will include replacement of the existing eighty-six (86) bed Richmond Lions Manor: Bridgeport The new facility will be approximately 15,000m2 and will include: Households providing care and accommodation for 144 individuals in private rooms with ensuites spread across 12 households (each with dedicated outdoor space) Spaces for purposeful recreational and social activities shared by the households (community spaces) Administrative and care support spaces Hospice with 14 beds with dedicated outdoor space (operated by VCH) Adult Day Program (ADP) with space for 25 individuals at a time and dedicated outdoor space (operated by VCH) Child Care with 37 spaces and dedicated outdoor play space (operated by an independent operator) Support services including food production, personal laundry, housekeeping and maintenance Green space will include garden amenity space and walking routes for use by LTC residents and other site users Vehicle and bicycle parking, and passenger drop-off; and Loading & service delivery area Documents can be obtained from https://fraserhealth.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities
