New construction of an educational facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 152,601-square-foot educational facility.
Replacement of the existing two chemistry teaching wings with a new 14,177 gross square metres Chemical Sciences Undergraduate Teaching Building. TIMELINE: Preliminary planning is ongoing. The project is proposed as part of the owner's Five-Year Capital Plan 2026-27 to 2030-31 and is pending funding approval. Project schedules including tendering, construction timelines and design are undetermined and may be confirmed once funding is secured. Further update in late spring 2027 *UBC - Science Central Two - Chemistry Laboratory Complex (Research) is being followed under a separate report.
