Site work for a water / sewer project in Vancouver, British Columbia. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of an existing campus steam manhole which is showing signs of structural failure and the replacement of existing steam/condensate pipes, pipe supports and accessories. In addition, many of the existing steam manholes are missing proper ventilation/drainage systems to meet current WorkSafeBC OHS guidelines and local building code. Vancouver Coastal Health's Facilities Maintenance and Operations (FMO) team also sees the value to replace some of existing steam supply and condensate return pipes where the existing interconnection lines are abandoned for safety purposes by previous inefficient design, construction deficiencies and multiple failure histories. TIMELINE: Request for Proposal to provide mechanical engineering services for the project has closed and a preferred proponent has been chosen. Further update in late spring 2023.
