Federal# / IRIS Program#: 0750015 / NFHWY00128 The proposed project consists of replacing the existing bridge over Rock Creek with a 124' long by 33' wide concrete clear-span, T-girder bridge. Approximately 300 cubic yards of the existing stream bed (gravel, cobble and boulders) will be removed during construction. Class I and III riprap will be placed in the stream bed and on the riverbank in a 2:1 slope to armor 12 new HPile bridge embankments. Existing stream bed material from the excavation will be placed on top of the riprap to fill voids and riverbank stabilization. Equipment will remain on the riverbanks and vehicles are not anticipated to cross Rock Creek. During construction, traffic will be routed to a temporary bridge to cross Rock Creek. The wooden piles and wingwalls from the previous bridge structure north of the existing bridge will be removed to accommodate the temporary bridge and its riprap protection. The temporary bridge and materials will be removed after construction of the new bridge is complete. Work is expected to occur during April to November 2021.
