Scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for general landscape maintenance including, but not limited to, mowing, seeding, aerating, dethatching, IPM and disease control, fertilization, drainage system cleaning, and irrigation system maintenance and repair at Millennium Park, West Roxbury. Estimated cost of contract is $110,000.00/year (optional 2nd & 3rd year renewal).Estimated cost of contract is $110,000 per year for a one year contract with two one-year options to renew at the sole discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department. If exercised, the option for year two and for year three shall be at the same price and subject to the same contract provisions as year one.The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any and all bids, if it be in the Public Interest to do so. A performance bond of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Commissioner and in the sum of 100 percent of the contract price, as well as certain public liability and property damage insurance, will be required of the successful general contractor.No bid may be withdrawn after the time set for bid opening except by written notice received by the Official prior to the time and date set for bid opening as set forth in the Advertisement. No bid filed by any responsible and responsive bidder may be withdrawn after the date and time of opening, nor prior to the execution and delivery of a contract to the lowest and responsible and responsive bidder. The Official shall award a contract prior to the expiration of ninety (90) days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays inclusive) after the opening of bids, or within such other time specified.The amount of any bid deposit shall be as specified in the Advertisement. All bid deposits of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or less shall be retained by the City as a bid filing charge.
