Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Altoona, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project design is for approximately 2,000 LF of 1st Avenue in Altoona, between 2nd Street NW and 9th Street. Design shall be for the complete reconstruction of the existing two-lane roadway into a four-lane divided roadway with a roundabout at 9th Street. The roadway corridor includes three intersection roadways, and approximately nine driveways. Other roadway features included in the project are storm drainage, City owned water and sewer lines, street lighting, sidewalks, trails, pavement markings, signage, erosion control, landscaping, construction phasing, and construction traffic control. Addition scope includes the relocation of all existing franchise utilities to a new Public-Utility Easement, and the undergrounding of all overhead power and utilities.
