The work for the Sam Wise Sports Complex Renovation Phase 2 project includes all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for construction. The location of improvements is softball fields 2 and 4, and baseball fields 2 and 3. Work includes approximately 3,292 LF of chain link fence removal and replacement including backstops and dugouts; 1,100 CY of skinned infield removal and replacement; removal and replacement of 8 dugouts with PCC pads; installation of infield turf on baseball field 3; removal and storage of bleachers for reinstallation on new PCC pads; regrading of infields subbase; installation of 1,860 LF of 4-inch perforated subdrain in the infields; 2 portable pitching mounds; installation of automatic irrigation systems for infield wet down; electrical work for lighting controls upgrades at baseball fields 3 and 4, and softball field 4; and a four-year maintenance bond Site Directions: 501 8th Street SE Altoona, IA 50009 Approximately 3 miles east of Highway 65 on 8th Street SE, north side of road.
