The 2021 Asphalt Street Resurfacing Program - NW Lakeshore Drive and Parking Lots project includes asphalt milling and overlay of two parking lots at Hawkeye Park and the Lakeside Center and full depth reconstruction of NW Lakeshore Drive between these parking lots. The project is located at 410 NW Lakeshore Drive in the City of Ankeny. The improvements include approximately 1,800 SY of asphalt pavement removal, 300 CY of Class 10 excavation, 1,800 SY of modified subbase, 5,100 SY of asphalt milling, 200 SY of full depth asphalt patching, 1,265 TON of hot mix asphalt, 23 STA of pavement markings, temporary traffic control, mobilization, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. Full completion for the overall project shall be defined as all grading, paving, and pavement markings completed, with NW Lakeshore Drive and the two parking lots fully open to traffic, and all improvements ready for final acceptance. Should the Contractor fail to fully complete the work within this timeframe, liquidated damages of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not fully completed within the designated Contract term(s). A copy of said plans, specifications, and form of contract, and estimated total cost is now on file in the office of the City Clerk and may be examined at Ankeny City Hall, 220 West First Street, Ankeny, Iowa, 50023.
