Site work for a water / sewer project in Batavia, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This Project consists of constructing approximately 32,600 linear feet of 20-inch and 18-inch diameter HDPE and PVC force main along Allegany Road (NYS Route 63) and South Gravel Road (NYS Route 63) in the Town of Alabama, Genesee County and Town of Shelby, Orleans County. This project will consist of two (2) separate contracts. Written questions will be accepted until 5:00 PM on March 1, 2021 Central Area consists of the installation of approximately 15,500 LF of 20-inch HDPE force main by horizontal directional drilling methods, installation of maintenance manholes and appurtenances through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Refuge (USFWS) along Allegany Road (NYS Route 63). The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: CPL, 186 North Water Street, Rochester, New York 14604. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. by appointment only and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below Electronic copies (preferred method due to Covid-19) of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by e-mailing Heather Cornwell at hcornwell@CPLteam.com . Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. Contract Award will also emphasize MWBE participation in accordance with New York State Executive Law Article 15-A and 5 NYCRR Parts 142-144 (MWBE Regulations). Only written Requests For Information (RFI) will be accepted. RFIs will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on March 8, 2021, at the office of the Engineer to the attention of Zach Anderson via email: zanderson@CPLteam.com or facsimile: 585-402-7556. If necessary, an Addendum will be issued by 12:00 p.m. (Local Time) on March 3, 2021, from the office of the Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11,246 and 11,375 which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and Federal standards, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations. Statement of Non-Collusion: Bidders on the contract are required to execute a non-collusive bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. Sales and Use of Tax Exemptions: The GCEDC is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the GCEDC pursuant to this contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment, and supplies to be sold to the GCEDC pursuant to this contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building, or other real property forming part of the project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid. All bids shall be binding for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. The GCEDC reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. “The bid opening will be held in person as well as virtually.
