In general, this project will consist of lining various sizes of sanitary sewer main and rehabilitating manholes as detailed in the plans and specifications. Specifically, the base bid for this project will include lining 296 linear feet of 42-inch and 447 linear feet of 36-inch sanitary sewer main and rehabilitating 4 manholes consisting of 48 vertical feet each of calcium aluminate and epoxy coating. Bid Alternate No. 1 will include lining 3,273 linear feet of 60-inch sanitary sewer main and rehabilitating 7 manholes consisting of 89 vertical feet each of calcium aluminate and epoxy coating. Bid alternate No. 2 will include lining 743 linear feet of 21-inch sanitary sewer main and rehabilitating 4 manholes consisting of 42.5 vertical feet each of calcium aluminate and epoxy coating. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order or bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the grand total bid, plus all alternates if applicable, payable to the City of Pueblo as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bond within ten (10) days from the date of the award of the contract by City Council The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any or all items covered in the Invitation for Bid, to waive informalities or defects in bids, or to accept such bids as it shall deem to be in its best interest. Failure to complete the work by the allotted ninety (90) calendar days shall result in the assessing of liquidated damages according to ARTICLE 3 - GENERAL PROVISIONS.
