**As of March 25, 2021, construction have already started, and anticipate being completed within 6-8 weeks. The project consists principally of the replacement of approximately 1,300 linear feet of existing ductile iron cement lined water main with a new HDPE water main. The project also includes the installation of hydrants, valves, services, and all other appurtenances, testing and restoration along Seneca Road as noted on the bidding documents dated January 2021. The foregoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under each contract The successful bidder(s) must self-perform at a minimum 50% of the contracted work. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the Instructions to bidders. The Town of Irondequoit is exempt under New York State Tax law, and therefore, no sales tax on the cost of materials incorporated into the project shall be included in the bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and material bonds in accordance with the Instructions to bidders. Check for Plans and Specifications shall be made payable to the Town of Irondequoit. If you would like Plans and Specifications mailed to you, please enclose an additional check for twenty-five ($25) per set made payable to Rotolite Elliott. The Town of Irondequoit and Seabreeze and Vicinity Water District reserves the right to consider bids for forty-five (45) days after the receipt before awarding any contract. The Town of Irondequoit further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its best interests.
