The program is expected to bring in $1 billion a year to Alaska over five years. __________________ The Moose Creek Dam (MCD) Safety Modification project will include the construction of a partial-depth barrier wall through approximately 4.5 miles of the Moose Creek Dam embankment consisting of mixed in place soil-cement-bentonite material. The barrier material will require a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 200 psi and 28-day permeability of 1 x 10-6 cm/sec. Construction of the barrier wall, earthen embankment for the work platform and other miscellaneous aspects of the project will require soil and material testing. This contract is to establish a validated material testing laboratory at the MCD Safety Modification project staging area to support field inspections, perform material sampling and perform testing required to independently monitor the soil-cement-bentonite and soils work for the duration of the project.
