Site work for a water / sewer project in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The purpose and intent of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified firms to provide personnel and equipment to conduct repairs to collection system equipment, piping and sewer lateral repair and installation. The contractor should be a licensed Utility Contractor in North Carolina. Required equipment may include but not limited to, backhoe, dump truck, trench box, hand/power tools. The contractor should be reasonably available 24 hours a day 7 days a week including holidays. The Contractor will also be expected to perform repair duties during extreme adverse weather events including but not limited to; ice storms, hurricanes, tornados and major flooding. The contractor will be expected to arrive on a job site within three (3) hours of being contacted. The County reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, such proposals as appears in its judgment to be in the best interest of the County. E-mailed questions will be accepted and can be sent to purchasinggroup@dconc.gov. Any inquiries, requests for interpretation, technical questions, clarification, or additional information shall be directed to Rishanda Fowler, Procurement Specialist at the email address above. All questions concerning this RFP shall reference the RFP number, section number and paragraph. Questions and responses affecting the Scope of Services will be provided to all Proposers by issuance of an Addendum. All questions shall be received by the Purchasing Division no later than 3:00 PM, Eastern Time on February 11, 2021. NO EXCEPTIONS. Proposals are required to make a good faith effort to include Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MWBEs) as part of their Proposal to provide services to the County. Durham County hereby establishes the following goals for the expenditure of funds with MWBE firms.
