The work covered by the plans and specifications includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and the noted material for the replacement of the City's two existing lime slakers and the installation of a carbonic acid feed system and CO2 storage tank. This improvement must attain substantial completion by December 21, 2023. Notice of award will be made within 30 days of the bid opening. All bidders must be qualified by experience and properly equipped to complete the work specified in the time allotted. The engineer's estimate for the proposed improvements: Base Bid: $1,900,000. A bid guarantee in the form of either: a. A bond in substantially the form set forth in section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Said bond shall be the full amount of the bid, or b. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter1305 of the Ohio Revised Code. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit shall equal 10% of the full amount of the bid and the Successful Bidder will be required to submit a bond in the form provided in section 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code in conjunction with the execution of the contract. Said bond shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided in section 9.31 of the Ohio Revised Code. The City of Wadsworth reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities therein.
