Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Wadsworth, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work covered by the plans and specifications includes installation of storm sewer piping and structures, concrete driveway, concrete paver parking area, landscaping, sidewalk, repair of permeable pavers, curbing, and other surface improvements. Additionally, it includes concrete sidewalk, patios, and parking, ADA accessible ramps, downspouts, landscaping, steps, railings, and decking on private property. This improvement must attain Substantial Completion by October 11, 2022. All bidders must be qualified by experience and properly equipped to complete the work specified in the time allotted. The engineer's estimate for the proposed improvements: Base Bid: $418,968.00 Alternatives: $110,251.00. The lowest and best bidder for this contract shall be the bidder whose bid is determined by the City to be the lowest and best bid for the option and any alternatives selected by the City. The City shall have the sole right to select the option and any alternative or combination of alternatives that best suits the needs of the City. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit shall equal 10% of the full amount of the bid and the Successful Bidder will be required to submit a bond in the form provided in section 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code in conjunction with the execution of the contract. Said bond shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. A Non-Collusion Affidavit. A Statement of Bidder Resources and Experience Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor and Worker Safety, Wage and Hour Bureau. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided in section 9.31 of the Ohio Revised Code. The City of Wadsworth reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities therein.
