As of May 25 2021 project was cancelled and planning for a rebid. The project is expected to rebid by January or February of next year 2022. The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to contract with a qualified firm to remove existing chimney below roof line and replace the chimney with an exact replica of the existing chimney. This RFP is issued by the Oconto County Public Property Committee, through its Maintenance Engineer who is the project administrator for this RFP. All questions regarding this RFP shall be made through the Maintenance Engineer at the following address. To be considered, each bidder must submit a response to this RFP and respond to the SELECTION CRITERIA identifying your understanding of the services requested. The proposal must be signed in ink by an official authorized to bind the firm. The Public Property Committee will consider the proposals at their meeting on April 7, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in Conference Room # 1003 & 1004 in the Courthouse. It is anticipated that the County Board will act on this matter at their April 22, 2021 meeting. SERVICES REQUIRED 1. All new flashing must be as close to original as possible. 2. Protect existing roof as much as possible from any damage. 3. Brick sealer to be installed after chimney is completed. 4. Remove existing flashing and discard. 5. Remove existing chimney down to 1 foot below roof line, or until satisfactory material is found to build onto. 6. Check for any deteriorated woods on roof. 7. Replacement brick to match existing brick as close as possible. 8. On the State Historical Register, roof needs to be protected and chimney installed to its original design. 9. Minimum 10 year manufactures warranty. 10. Start date must be on or after April 15, 2021 and completed by May 27, 2021.
