**Project was awarded to D Guerra Construction LLC in the amount of $6,898,802.50. NBU Anticipates The Following Items Will Be Included In The Scope Of Work For The Project: Construction Of Approximately 5,200 LF Of 24-inch Water Mainincluding Trenching/backfill,trench Safety, Jacking/boring, Fittings, Valves, Connections,and Other Appurtenances;construction Of Approximately 6,350 LF Of 8-inch Through 12-inch Water Main Including Trenching/backfill,trench Safety,jacking/boring,fittings,valves,connections,and Other Appurtenances;construction Of Approximately 4,900 LF Of 8-inch And 16-inch Gravity Sanitary Sewer Main Including Trenching/backfill,trench Safety, Manholes,connections,and Other Appurtenances;preparation Of Right-of-way Including Clearing/grubbing And Construction Staking; Storm Water Pollution Prevention;groundwater Control;traffic Control;site Restoration; And All Other Appurtenances Necessary To Complete The Project.The Project Will Be Designed And Constructed So As To Meet All Applicable Federal,state,and Local Accessibility Standards. The Selected Offeror Will Be Also Responsible For Obtaining All Applicable Permits And Inspections; Providing All Necessary Performance And Payment Bonds And Insurance Requirements; And Providing Owner With All Manufacturers Warranties And All Operations And Maintenance (O & M) Manuals For All Equipment Installed. NBU Has Established A Target Commencement Date For Construction Activities As May 15, 2021.The Work Shall Be Substantially Complete Within Five Hundred Fifty (550) Calendar Days From The Notice To Proceed Date And Ready For Final Payment In Accordance With Paragraph 14.07 Of The General Conditions. NBU Reserves The Right To Phase The Construction Of The Project Or Modify The Schedule As Needed And Determined By The NBU Board Or Staff Due To Modifications In Scope. Receipt Of Response Does Not Bind New Braunfels Utilities To Any Contract For Said Services,nor Does It Give Any Guarantee That A Contract For The Project Will Be Awarded. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied By An Approved Bid Bond In The Amount Of 5% Of The Bid Cost, Payable To The New Braunfels Utilities Without Recourse,as A Guarantee Bidder Will Enter Into A Contract At The Stated Price.The Successful Bidder Must Execute 100% Performance And Payment Bonds On The Forms Provided, Within Ten (10) Days After The Contract Has Been Awarded.
