The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the above stated project. The general items of work to be done hereunder consist of: Mobilization; traffic control and traffic signage; furnishing and installing equipment necessary for a rectangular rapid flashing beacon system including assemblies, control equipment, wireless communications, solar panels, pushbuttons, posts, foundations, pullboxes, conduits and trenching, removing and salvaging existing signs and posts, removing post anchor and concrete pads, and replacing concrete sidewalk flags; tree removal; grinding of tree stump; work related to the installation of a new streetlight including conduits and trenching, pullboxes, connecting to existing service, and installation of the streetlight pole and associated equipment; and any other such items or details that are required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, or these Special Provisions to be performed, places, constructed, or installed to form a complete installation. The classification of Contractor license required in the performance of this Contract is Class-A or a combination of C-10, C-8, and C-31. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a labor and materials bond and a faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract 7.Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code, the Contract will contain provisions permitting the successful bidder to substitute securities for any monies withheld by the City of El Cerrito to ensure performance under the Contract. The Engineers estimate for construction is: $145,000 (Base Bid), and $40,000 (Additive Alternative Bid AA Streetlight Installation)
