Construction of a new community center that may include: two full size gymnasiums, fitness space, weight room, indoor cycling, fitness studio, mat room, licensed preschool and childcare / drop-in childminding, community kitchen, multipurpose rooms, washrooms, change rooms, storage rooms, staff area and welcoming shared social space, cafe. Common activation space before pay point for dance, open activity for all ages, combination of indoor and outdoor use. Newton Community Centre at 6965-7005 King George Boulevard, Surrey. TIMELINE: Preliminary palnning is underway. A request for expressions of interest and statements of qualifications of design-builders for the project was previously issued. The RFEOI/SOQ was a general invitation intended to identify a shortlist of qualified design-builders to be available to participate in a potential future RFP for the Project. List of pre-qualified respondents are unavailable for publication. Project master schedule and duration of the Project's phases will be determined and confirmed in collaboration with the selected progressive Design-Builder and the City. A preferred design-build team is anticipated to be chosen by the end of 2025.
