Demolition and renovation of a mixed-use development in Waterloo, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; laboratory facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.
University of Waterloo (UW) proposes to renovate the entire 3rd floor of the Earth Science Chemistry Building, approximately 25,000 sq ft located on the main Waterloo Campus. The existing building is three (3) storeys high and contains a mix of laboratory and office/admin space. The renovation will include a complete demolition of the third floor and will incorporate a new layout with a mixture of lab, office, corridor and service space. A new roof, rooftop equipment and stand alone heat pump HVAC system will be incorporated into the project. Prequalified Mechanical Sub-Contractors: - Conestogo Mechanical Inc. - J.M.R. Electric Ltd.
