Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Doral, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Prequalification Requirements : Contractor must be qualified under Rule, 14-22, Florida Administrative Code - Work Class(es): District : 06 Selection Method : Adjusted Score Response Requested : Letter of Interest SR 826/Palmetto Expressway Capacity Improvement project The SR 826/Palmetto Expressway Capacity Improvement project (FPID 447165-1-52-01) consists of improvements in the southbound direction to retrofit the EL ingress/egress access points and widening to increase capacity between 74th Street and NW 103rd Street. Additional improvements include widening in the northbound direction to correct substandard shoulder width created under the Northbound Express Lanes Interim Improvements project, widening of the NW 103rd St on/off ramps, and milling and resurfacing of selected sections of SR 836, the frontage roads and ramps plan. Furthermore, improvements include the installation of a new Tolling Site along both the northbound and southbound directions that requires special pavement design and construction to extend 50 feet north/south of the gantry location. The existing facility employs Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) via the Florida's Turnpike Enterprises (FTE) SunPassSM system and will remain as a tolled facility. In conjunction with SR 826/Palmetto Expressway Capacity Improvement project improvements, the Department has included the SR 826 Frontage Road RRR improvements from Okeechobee Road to NW 103rd Street (FPID 441830-1-52-01) and from NW 103rd Street to NW 122nd Street (FPID 441831-1-52-01). Project improvements in the southbound direction include: Add a General Purpose lane from the exit to NW 103rd Street to the exit to Okeechobee Road, to provide additional capacity via roadway widening, bridge widening and shoulder width reductions. Modify NW 103rd Street WB to SB flyover ramp pier along the outside GP lane and widen the SR 826 mainline bridge and walls to create an additional GP lane through the NW 103rd Street interchange. Refer to Attachment H in the attachments for flyover ramp pier modification plan and design calculation and Attachment J for roadway configuration plan underneath flyover. Extend auxiliary lane between NW 74th Street and Okeechobee Road interchanges to provide additional weaving distance. Widen bridge over NW 74th Street, Metrorail and FEC railroad to accommodate additional lanes extending up to NW 74th Street on-ramp. Relocate existing ingress from south of NW 154th Street to south of NW 103rd Street to provide access from NW 154th Street and NW 122nd Street to the EL. Project improvements in the northbound direction include: Widen mainline over NW 103rd Street interchange to provide full width inside and outside shoulders. Project improvements at the intersection of NW 103rd Street/W 49th Street and SR 826 Northbound Off-Ramp/W 20th Avenue East, identified in the Traffic Operations Technical Memorandum by A&P Consulting Transportation Engineers, including: Signalize the westbound right turn movement at the W 20th Avenue intersection to provide a protected pedestrian phase for pedestrians to safely cross within the marked crosswalk. Note that a new traffic signal controller is required to allow operation of the westbound right turn movement independently from the existing signal at the intersection. Expand existing channelization island located on the northeast corner of the intersection to increase the refuge area provided for pedestrians since large groups of students cross at this location. Reduce the curb radius at the southeast corner of the intersection and construct a truck apron. Install "No Pedestrian Crossing" (R9-3) and "Use Crosswalk" (R9-3P) signs on the east and west sides of W 20th Avenue at approximately 100 feet north of SR 932/NW 103rd Street to discourage pedestrians from crossing midblock and to direct pedestrians to use the existing marked crosswalk at the signalized intersection. Remove the pedestrian crossing (W11-2) sign located on the far side of the intersection facing northbound traffic. Project improvements for the SR 826 frontage roads include: Mill and resurface the existing pavement, including side-street intersections as depicted in the concept plans. Shift the alignment along the West Frontage Road/NW 77th Avenue, from NW 98th Street to south of NW 103rd Street and construct widening due to the modifications at the SB on-Ramp (Ramp C). Construct paved shoulders (5 feet wide) in segments without existing roadside landscaping and where utility impacts can be avoided. Upgrade guardrail, guardrail terminals, and guardrail-to-rigid barrier transition connections. Install guardrail and crash cushions to shield the existing bridge piers at Bridge 870856, along NW 77th Avenue south of NW 103rd Street and along W 20th Avenue north of NW 103rd Street Upgrade sub-standard pedestrian ramps, including installation of detectable warning surfaces. Construct new sidewalk to connect existing sidewalk gaps along W 20th Avenue from Okeechobee Road to W 44th Place, W 20th Avenue East from NW 103rd Street/W 49th Street to NW 122nd Street/W 68th Street, and W 20th Avenue West from south of Little River Canal to NW 122nd Street/W 68th Street. Upgrade all sub-standard ground-mounted signs and pavement markings. Install additional signing and pavement markings identified in the RRR Safety Review report. Upgrade pedestrian signalization features at W 60th Street intersections. Bridge 870570 - East Frontage Road over Little River Canal/C-7 modifications including milling & resurfacing of the existing asphalt surface, replacing the expansion joints, replacement of the existing joint headers, and upgrade of guardrail connections. Bridge 870569 - West Frontage Road over Little River Canal/C-7 modifications including constructing sidewalk on the west side, replacing bridge railings, and upgrade of guardrail connections. Must be prequalified in work type 4.1.2(Minor Bridge Design) OR 4.2.1(Major Bridge Design-Concrete), OR 4.2.2(Major Bridge Design-Steel), OR 4.2.3 (Major Bridge Design-Segmental) Design Build Firms responding to advertisements requiring Group 4 Bridge Design work type qualification must submit a completed and signed Bridge Design Qualification Form (see the link to the "Bridge Qualification form" above) along with the LOI by the date/time deadline established for the LOI. Please refer this preamble and advertisement for other submittal directions.
