The awarding of the Contract will be subject to the approval of the State Education Department. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Afton Central School District in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, subject to the conditions provided in the instructions to Bidders, must be deposited by each Bidder with his Bid as a guarantee that in the case the contract is awarded to him, he will within (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, and that Bidder shall not withdraw his Bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the above date of Bid opening, and to guarantee the performance of all other obligations of the Bidders as set forth in Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder, to whom the Contract is awarded, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, from an acceptable surety, for an amount equal to 100% of the accepted bid, along with a Certificate of Insurance.
