Construction Start Dates: - Main Building Vestibule/ HS Offices: 4/5/2021 - Main Building Remaining work: 6/28/2021 - Bus Maintenance Facility: 4/26/2021 Any Bidder, upon returning such set(s) (drawings and project manual) in good condition to Plan and Print Systems, Inc. within fifteen (15) days after date set for Bid opening, will be refunded their $100.00 deposit. The awarding of the Contract will be subject to the approval of the State Education Department. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Afton Central School District in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, subject to the conditions provided in the instructions to Bidders, must be deposited by each Bidder with his Bid as a guarantee that in the case the contract is awarded to him, he will within (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, and that Bidder shall not withdraw his Bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the above date of Bid opening, and to guarantee the performance of all other obligations of the Bidders as set forth in Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder, to whom the Contract is awarded, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, from an acceptable surety, for an amount equal to 100% of the accepted bid, along with a Certificate of Insurance. Attention of all Bidders is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract as well as to other provisions set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Work shall be commenced and continuously and diligently prosecuted immediately after contracts have been signed. Contractors should not include in their bids the sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated into this public project. Contract award shall be subject to the condition that the applicable plans and specifications for the work to be done shall be approved by the Commissioner of Education. Project Referendum 19.2 million. Construction Cost 15.2 million. Construction start date 4/2/2021 Main Building New Bus Maintenance – 4/26/2021 Main Building – Interior Renovations 08-27-21 Substantial Completion Main Building – Exterior Addition 09-30-21 Substantial Completion Bus Garage – New Construction 02-11-22 Substantial Completion
