Site work and new construction of a residential development in Easton, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the construction of a 1,700-square-foot, two-story above grade residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
As of 04/29/2021, The only bid that was provided was rejected. We will rebid at some point. Construction costs are simply too high right now. The RDA is soliciting proposals from builders/ contractors to manage and construct one single family ADA compliant dwelling. The property must be viewed at this time in order to bid on the described work. A prior inspection of the property will not be acceptable. If the contractor cannot attend, a representative from the company may attend the on-site meeting. Contractors should schedule at least thirty minutes for this meeting. In addition to inspecting the site, the RDA will be supplying additional information and specifications for the project and reviewing all information involved in the project. The RDA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in the proposal process. Proposals may be held by the RDA for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of proposals for the purpose of reviewing the proposals and investigating the qualifications of the developers, prior to awarding of the contract. Womenowned and minority-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. The project consists of the construction of an ADA compliant, 2-story Colonial, side gable single family dwelling consisting of 1,400 to 1,700 square feet on what is now vacant land identified as 697 Prospect Avenue. Builder is required to furnish all labor, building materials, and equipment to complete the proposed project, and all work must be done according to applicable building and city codes. The project is to be completed within six (6) calendar months from Notice to Proceed.
