Notice is hereby given that Civic San Diego (CivicSD) has determined that all bidders for the East Village Green Project to be undertaken by CivicSD must be pre-qualified prior to submitting a bid on that Project. It is mandatory that all Contractors who intend to submit a bid, fully complete a single Pre-qualification application package ("Pre-qualification Package"), including but not limited to the Pre-qualification questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by CivicSD to be on the final qualified bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor that has failed to comply with these requirements. The completed Pre-qualification Package must be delivered to and received by CivicSD no later than 3:00 p.m. on February 25, 2020. The Pre-qualification Package shall contain one (1) hard copy of the Pre-qualification Package, plus an electronic version on USB device in pdf format and one (1) hard copy of audited, reviewed, or compiled financial statement as required herein. Do not include financial statement on USB, as further described in the Instructions for Preparation and Submission. The East Village Green Project is an approximately two-acre neighborhood park to be constructed in the East Village neighborhood of the Downtown Community Plan area and will contain a community center, children's playground, off-leash dog parks, lawn area and performance pavilion, games area, food and beverage vendor buildings, public restrooms, and an underground public parking garage. CivicSD Diego will construct the project pursuant to a Compensation Agreement under its existing Operating Agreement with the City of San Diego. Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 02/11/2021 3:00 PM (PST) Pre-Bid Meeting No CivicSD anticipates, subject to change at CivicSD's sole discretion, procuring a prequalified contractor or contractors to complete the East Village Green Project ("Project") for the following work: The Project is a highly-anticipated neighborhood park in the rapidly growing East Village neighborhood of Downtown. The creation of public-open spaces is critical to creating a livable and walkable community. This project is the first phase of the ultimate four-acre park and contains approximately two acres and the reconstruction of 14 th Street within the park's boundaries. Identified in the Downtown Community Plan adopted in 2006, the park is the highest priority-open space for the Downtown community. The General Development Plan (GDP) for the park was approved by the Parks and Recreation Board in November 2015. The Project is located on a full 60,000 square-foot (SF) block bounded by 13th, F, 14th and G streets, a 20,000 SF site at the northeast corner of 14th and G streets, and a small site along the south side of F Street between 14th and 15th streets which will accommodate the relocation of two historic buildings. Estimated cost is $45,800,000. The project will contain the following main elements: o Relocation of two designated historic structures o Two-story - Type 1, 14,200 SF community center o Central lawn area o Children's playground with an interactive water feature o Performance pavilion o Off-leash dog parks for small and large dogs o Two food and beverage buildings (shell buildings) o Game/reading area o Public restrooms with attendant booth o Public art installation o Improvements to 14 th Street to accommodate community events o Two-level, 185-space underground public parking garage Shortlist Confirmed.
