As of November 9, 2023, per the owner, this project is being completed through private funding. Information regarding the design firm and contractor has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: For RFP Design Biopharmaceutical Innovation Building Waste Inactivation Project The University of Delawares (UD) primary objective is to solicit proposals for architectural and engineering services for space, and utility design to support the installation and operation of a new Biowaste inactivation system. The scope of work for the project is: A waste treatment system is on critical path for research process test bed. The waste generated from the biopharma processes will need to be inactivated and pH adjusted prior to release. Design services are need to help prepare building infrastructure to accommodate the waste treatment and pH adjustment systems at BPI. This will require mechanical, electrical, and plumbing planning, specifically piping routes from floor to floor, waste containment, drainage connection existing to electrical. Below are details about the skid: Effluent Decontamination System Piggyback or Side by Side configuration unit with 150 gallon collection tank and 75 gallon processing tank The processing tank and collection tank are type 316-L stainless steel The processing tank is electrically heated with redundant resistance heaters submerged in the process tank It will sterilize wastewater in 30 minutes hold time at 250 degrees F It will operate at approximately 22 psig in a vessel that is 100 psig ASME rated, insulated with 2" insulation, and a 12 gauge stainless steel overskin Cooling will be by sparge water controlled to specific temperature by a modulation valve on the discharge Redundant level controls will be used in both tanks Control panel will be NEMA4 and will have a Control Logix Allen Bradley PLC with Panelview Plus Seven HMI Questions are to be sent via e-mail to proposals@udel.edu, with the solicitation number in the subject line, no later than Friday, January 29, 2021. Questions due from Bidders relative to RFP: Friday, January 29, 2021 Answers for RFP returned to Bidders: Tuesday, February 2, 2021 As of February 15, 2021 this project is seeking proposals. Interview and Architect Selection is set for the week of February 19, 2021. Schematic design, design development, and construction documents is set for March 2021 to April 2021. Bidding for contractor has not been released. Construction administration, post construction, and closeout is set for April 2021 to July 2021. *
