Site work for a transportation facility in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The work includes, but is not limited to: removal of existing pavement, placement of full depth hot-mix asphalt pavement, placement of full depth PCC pavement, stripping of topsoil, unclassified excavation, embankment in place, pavement markings, storm drainage improvements including CB's, dry wells, pretreatment structures and piping, underground detention and infiltration system, and new taxiway edge lights, junction cans, electrical handholes, guidance signs, regulator and a ALCMS GUI upgrade. 15, 600 sy of existing pavement removal. o 19,400 sy of full-depth pavement reconstruction with 8" hot-mix asphalt on 12" crushed aggregate base course. o 9,400 sy of shoulder pavement construction with 3" hot-mix asphalt on 6" crushed aggregate base course. o 4,200 sy of full-depth portland cement concrete pavement for airfields. o 4,200 cy of stripping and stockpiling of topsoil o 9,500 cy of unclassified excavation o 2,000 cy of embankement in place o pavement markings and installation of aircraft grounding receptacles. o storm drainage improvements including new rcp pipe, catch basins, dry wells, manhole structure with sluice gate, 200 lf of trench drain and infiltration trench. o two (2) stormwater pre-treatment structures. o an underground detention and infiltration system complete with manhole risers.
