Site work for a mixed-use development in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price prior to the execution of the contract. Questions regarding this bid request shall be directed, in writing, to Ben Sharbel, CPPO, CPPB, Supervisor of Property Development and Asset Management, 1000 N. Central Street, Suite 100, Knoxville, TN 37917, ben.sharbel@knoxcounty.org (Tel 865-215-5765) no later than March 12, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. local time. All technical questions will be addressed by written addendum issued by Knox County Procurement. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the "CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING ACT OF 1976," and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Furthermore, the Contractor should have the necessary licensing classifications as listed in Rules of Tennessee Board for Licensing General Contractors-Chapter 0680-1. Knox County reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the County.
