Per the owner, as of February 10, 2022, they are in the very early stage of design and environmental. A timeline for construction has not been determined. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. .................. The City of Colton Public Works Department is soliciting proposals from consulting engineers to prepare environmental document, seismic strategy, right of way support, and preliminary project plan and estimate for the Mt. Vernon Ave. Bridge Over Santa Ana River (54C-0100) Seismic Retrofit Project. The project is funded through Highway Bridge Program (HBP) and State Seismic Retrofit fund. The Project will retrofit the existing bridge along Mt. Vernon Ave. over Santa Ana River. This Project is required to adhere with SB 96, which permits the California Department of Industrial Relations to impose fines and penalties on local government agencies for failing to comply with this regulation. As funding for this Project includes federal funds, the successful consultant must comply with 41 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 60-4. The City of Colton AADPL (Annual Anticipated DBE Percentage Levels) for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2020-2021 and for this Project is 11.2%. Method of Contractor selection has not been determined at this point of time.
