For Covington High School - Additions - Project Location: 73030 Lions Dr. Covington LA 70433. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the construction of a new two (2) story classroom building and removal of existing modular classroom buildings at Covington High School in Covington, Louisiana. The new classroom building will be approximately 66,400 SF. Additive alternates to the project include a Band Rehearsal Room, Sports Medicine addition to the existing weight room building, a Student Services addition to the existing administration area, an entry plaza area at the west side of the school, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The material palette for this project will consist of modular masonry, metal wall panels, terra cotta solar shading, polycarbonate and glass. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount No bid may be withdrawn except as provided for by law. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law, La. R.S. 37:2150.1 through 2164, as amended. Preference may be given to materials, supplies and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana in accordance with law.
