Site work and new construction of a military facility in Ball, Louisiana. Design plans call for the construction of a 3,560-square-foot, one-story above grade military facility; and for site work for a military facility.

As of March 18, 2021, a designer has been selected. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. --- This project consists of a new approx. 2,600 s.f. Classroom Building at the Louisiana Military Department's Camp Cook. Preference is a one story building with two approx. 960 s.f. classrooms plus administration spaces, storage and latrines. Building exterior should blend with existing adjacent buildings' composition and style. Topographic, geotechnical, and/or investigative services such as assessment of existing utilities shall be performed as necessary and may be authorized as an increase to the Designer's fee. Project shall follow the Design Guide (DG) 415-1, DG 415-5, and National Guard (NG) Pam 415-12 as well as all applicable local, state, and federal codes. The project must be completely designed and ready to bid not later than July 19, 2021. The Designer shall prepare and submit all required drawings to the Military in AutoCAD and hard copy. Drawings shall follow the format specified in the "Instructions to Designers for AutoCAD Drawings Submittal". The funds available for construction are approximately $625,000.00 with a fee of approximately $56,355.00. Contract design time is 90 consecutive calendar days; including 30 days review time. Thereafter, liquidated damages in the amount of $100.00 per day will be assessed. Applicants are advised that design time ends when the Documents are "complete, coordinated and ready for bid" as stated in to Article 3.3.1 (4) of the Capital Improvements Projects Procedure Manual for Design and Construction. Documents will be considered to be "complete, coordinated and ready for bid" only if the advertisement for bid can be issued with no further corrections to the Documents. Design time will not necessarily end at the receipt of the initial Construction Documents Phase submittal by Facility Planning and Control. Any re-submittals required to complete the documents will be included in the design time. Proof of coverage will be required at that time.
