Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Odenton, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 1,000-space parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.

https://www.spartnerships.com/newsletter/2025/tgi-01-10-2025/texas-government-insider-01-10-2025.html Transit-oriented development projects focus on building housing and mixed-use communities near public transit stations to encourage the use of public transportation. __________ https://www.constructiondive.com/news/suburbs-infrastructure-new-braunfels-rockville-lehi/733164/ Odenton, Maryland The city of Odenton in Maryland is a suburb of Baltimore with a population of 45,026 and part of its growth is stimulated continually because property is less expensive just outside of Baltimore. Odenton offers residents a dense suburban feel, lower property taxes, great public transportation and lots of parkland. Recently, an announcement was made that an area near a public transit station will benefit from federal funding to support a transit-oriented development. The location will provide enhanced transit options for Odenton, which is also a bedroom community to Washington, D.C. Homeowners in the new community will have convenient public transportation to worksites in both Maryland and Washington, D.C. Approximately 900 new housing units will be constructed in a multifamily and mixed-use development near Odenton Station. Community amenities of various types will be components of the project and there will be space for retail and other types of necessary facilities. The project is already being designed and solicitations are expected in late 2024. ___________________________________ Anne Arundel County is partnering with the Maryland Department of Transportation to develop a new ground up approximately 1000+/- car structured parking garage with modern amenities (such as directional signage for open spaces) to be located on an existing surface area parking lot site (referred to as the 'West Lot') adjacent to the Odenton MARC train platform and Kiss & Ride located in Odenton, MD. The Project is intended to be the first phase of a multi-phase development approach to the larger transit-oriented development site/s surrounding the Odenton MARC train station. This project is included in the county’s FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of November 19, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
