Project is being bundled with Bridge Replacement Project S-55 (Miller Road) over Shot Pouch Branch #6349733. The anticipated letting date was recently moved from late 2024 to early 2025, so the project can be bundled with the S-55 project. SCDOT - Manning Avenue Revitalization Plan Project The Sumter Urban Area Transportation Study Metropolitan Planning Organization (SUATS MPO), in partnership with the Sumter City-County Planning Department, the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and the U.S. Federal Highway Administration, is proposing revitalization improvements along the S-152 (Manning Avenue) corridor from S-140 (Watkins Street) to US 15 (South Lafayette Drive) in Sumter County, South Carolina. The project team is in the process of developing a conceptual revitalization plan which may include, but is not limited to, improved pedestrian facilities within the project corridor. The project will also include safety and accessibility improvements, address roadway deficiencies, and consider landscaping and lighting. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades at pedestrian crossings, including improved curb ramps and accessible push buttons will also be included. *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
