Site work and paving for a road / highway in Whitestown, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Community Crossing Paving Program - Town of Whitestown. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid, or all bids, or to accept any bid or bids or to nmake such combination of bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities. Any qusetions shall be directed to Brian Fleck of HWC Engineering. The deadline for question is Tuesday, February 23rd at 10:00 a.m. Perform shoulder grading throughout the project limits along both edges of roadway. All scope details described below and the cost of any other associated items such as the required excavation/grading, legal disposal, and BMP's shall be considered incidental to the Linear Grading pay item provided in the Schedule of Values. Coordinate required operations with Engineer and Owner. Straight-line edges of roadway to better define traveled way and expose full limits of existing roadway. Lower earth shoulders to allow consistent full depth aggregate shoulders to be properly placed after proposed paving is completed. Lower earth shoulders to ensure stormwater drains off and away from the roadway after proposed paving and aggregate shoulder placement is completed. Properly clean roadway and legally dispose of any excavated materials, debris, etc. Perform machine milling to properly transition the HMA overlay with the existing conditions in accordance with INDOT Standard Specifications, Section 306. An estimated quantity of milling has been included in the Schedule of Values. Coordinate operations and transition limits with Engineer and Owner. Paving limits shall be the full width of identified street from the specified beginning termini to the specified ending termini (See Schedule of Values and Project Location Map for identified streets and project termini). All approaches (driveways, commercial approaches, intersecting public road approaches, etc.) are to be milled accordingly to provide an acceptable transition. A minimum paving depth of 165#/syd is required for all transition areas. At locations where existing C&G is present, transition milling is to be performed to avoid overlaying the gutter such as in the vicinity of Imperial Eagle Drive. Transition milling quantities are primarily intended for the beginning and ending termini and the Boone County bridge located between Wolfe Road and CR 475 E. The intent of the bridge milling is to remove enough existing overlay material to properly transition and profile the roadway while allowing the 1.5" HMA Surface course to be paved over it without increasing the current dead load. Approach milling quantities are intended for all approaches as noted above. All intersecting public road approaches are to be paved a minimum of 15' from the CR 750 S edge of pavement regardless of transitioning required. This distance may need to be increased to insure an acceptable transition. In addition to the acceleration and deceleration lanes at Imperial Eagle Drive, approach paving at this location is to, at a minimum, extend past the curbed islands on either side to insure proper transitioning. Other approaches, such as at driveways, are to be sufficiently paved to properly transition and also to reasonably tie in with existing conditions and materials.
