Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Yucca Valley, California. Completed plans call civil work for a playground / park / athletic field, sidewalk / parking lot and water / sewer project.
As of February 10 the project is set to be awarded on February 15, 2022. North Park is located on the west side of the Town at the northwest end of Fairway Drive. The improvements consist of the installation of an ADA accessible single-family restroom; a paved parking lot with ten (10) parking spaces and two additional accessible parking spaces, unpaved parking area with capacity for 28 parking spaces, a 20-foot wide paved drive access to the parking lot from Fairway Drive, utility connections and a trail of approximately 600 feet to connect the parking lot with the existing area used by locals and visitors for parking. The Town will receive questions concerning the project until January 21, 2022 at 5:00 PM. Questions concerning this project can be address to Mr. Noel Owsley, P.E.; Town Engineer, Public Works Department at 58928 Business Center Drive, Yucca Valley, CA 92284; e-mail nowsley@yucca-valley.org, The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract price to secure fulfillment of all the bidder's obligations under such contract. The successful bidder will further be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond for 100 % of the contract price to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Contractor General Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance, and All Risk Type Builder Risk Insurance will be required during the contract time. Monthly progress payments shall be made to the Contractor for the value of the work completed during the preceding month, less a five percent (5%) security withhold. All work shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days following receipt of a written Notice to Proceed from the Town. The contract will be awarded on the basis of lowest base bid price from a responsive and responsible bidder and will provide for progressive payments and liquidated damages as fixed in the specifications. All proposals must be made on the forms as contained in the specifications for the previously described project and shall in all respects comply with the Instructions to Bidders and Contract Documents. Bids must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the bidder. This is a federally funded project with Community Development Block (CDBG) funds and all rules and regulations associated with the CDBG program will apply. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any parts thereof and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding process and to make a contract award in the best interest of the Town. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the proposal submittal deadline.
