**As of March 12, 2021, the project has been awarded but the award information is not yet available at this time. Due to Covid-19 to deliver in person, you will need to contact the Town office letting them know what time you are coming by. Mail delivery is acceptable, as someone is there each day. Bidders planning on mailing Sealed Bids should be aware that delivery may not be guaranteed. The Project consists of installation of the new TTHM removal system, utilizing two (2) existing 1.5 horsepower pumps to recirculate water from the bottom of the tank to the top of the tank using three (3) Fogjet sprayer nozzles. Installation of an additional chlorine injection pump to re-chlorinate water as it leavesthe tank. The pump will be located inside the existing chlorine injection building at the tank site. The proposed chlorine injection system will include a 1/2-inch diameter polyethylene chemical feed injection tube inside of a 4- inch PVC casing pipe, to a doghouse manhole located in the southwest corner of the tank site. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Only Bidders receiving bid documents from the Issuing Office (electronic or printed) will be allowed to submit a bid to be considered for award. A pre-bid conference will NOT be held. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. The Town of Leicester is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the Town of Leicester pursuant to this contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment, and supplies to be sold to the Town of Leicester pursuant to this contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building, or other real property forming part of the project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid. All bids shall be binding for a period of forty-five (45) days after the bid opening date. The Town of Leicester reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
